Reflections...

Looking back at 2011, I can't help but feeling a bit melancholic. It has been the year where I left Los Angeles for Berlin. Where I finished my first production as a writer/ director. Where I met new people who opened my eyes and where I got disappointed in people who I have known my whole life. Where I spent the last moments with my beautiful, wonderful, sweet Newfoundland Dog 'Q', who loved his family over everything and died too soon. He still is missed so much....

Happily Ever After

Looking back... 2011 has been an amazing roller coaster year...
And the journey continues in 2012....With more writing, illustrating, photography and film...

Therefore,
To New Stories, New Adventures, Once Upon A Times, and Happily Ever Afters....On Christmas and in the New Year....

LIVE YOUR BEST STORY.

On my Christmas Wish List...:Stories

Always on my night stand.... books, my glasses, pen and paper
Although I never really got rid of my childhood wish and secretly still hope to find a horse (preferably a white Lippizaner....) underneath my Christmas tree, my current christmas wish list mainly contains books. Which is actually also a left over of another childhood love: reading.

Time to flaunt your Reds...

Party Like a Rockstar

The Queen of Posh

I love Victoria Beckham's style..Wouldn't a silver top and leather pants do well for a Christmas Party (like a Rockstar)?

M...stands for: Be

With the days being dark, the old year closing in and January 1st approaching, I started to think about my New Year resolutions. I don't drink nor smoke (nothing 'mormonal', I simply don't like the taste of alcohol or cigarettes), so that can't be 'resolved'. My inner Parisian literally walks her A.. off in Berlin and I don't indulge in loads of sugar and chocolate (nothing 'vegan', I simply like fruit and veggies... and steak), so a diet wouldn't do it either for me. But... who searches, finds and looking back at 2011, there is something I want to get rid off.....

"A little island surrounded by the warm Indian Ocean, where narrow, winding alleys lead past the intricate carved doorways of majestic white stone houses and numerous mosques, spices and the smell of grilled food scent the air around the markets. After nightfall the streets are lit by lanterns, while the jinns fall asleep in their jinn jars in their family’s home. Lamu island, part of the Lamu Archipelago, situated on Kenya’s Northern Coast Line, offers a setting which could be swept away from a page in Schehezerade’s One Thousand and One Nights. Here time stands still...." Read further on L-atitude.....

"With wooden beads, jungle prints, copper bangles and raffia, Yves Saint Laurent moved Africa in the realm of high fashion for his 1967 Spring/Summer Collection, described by Harper’s Bazaar as “a fantasy of primitive genius”. Born in Oran, Algiers, Yves Saint Laurent described his birth place as “a town glittering in a patchwork of all colors under the sedate North African sun” and African influences were rooted in the way he framed the female form, in his use of colors and fabrics. Since its impact on high fashion, Africa stayed as a source of aesthetic inspiration for many designers......" Read further on L-atitude .....
